About the Scholarship

• Prizes & Rewards: Up to INR 6,00,000 over the duration of the degree
• Last Date to Apply: 04-10-2025

Eligibility: Be a resident Indian citizen.

First-year PG students who secured a score of 550 - 1,000 in the GATE Examination.

OR Students who have scored 7.5 or above in their Undergraduate CGPA (or % normalised to CGPA)

Eligible degree programmes: Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics & Computing, Electrical/or Electronics Engg., Chemical Engg., Mechanical Engg., Renewable & New Energy, Material, Science & Engg. and Life Sciences.

About The Programme

On the 90th birth anniversary of Reliance’s Founder-Chairman Shri Dhirubhai Ambani in December 2022, Mrs Nita Ambani, Reliance Foundation Founder and Chairperson, announced that 50,000 scholarships would be awarded over 10 years with the belief that the best way to ensure the nation’s progress is to invest in its youth. Over the years, Reliance Foundation scholarship programmes have positively impacted the lives of 28,000 youth across India.

Since 2022-2023, Reliance Foundation has been supporting 5,100 students annually, including 5,000 meritorious undergraduate students from underprivileged sections of society studying any stream of their choice through the Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships, and 100 of India's brightest postgraduate students, studying eligible subjects in select future-ready courses from Engineering, Technology, Energy & Life Sciences through the Reliance Foundation Postgraduate Scholarships.

Both the Reliance Foundation Scholarships aim to nurture and empower meritorious students and will work together to build robust, vibrant and engaged alumni networks, enabling scholars to pursue higher education, emerge as young professionals, and drive India’s growth.

Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships

The Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships seek to enable students to become successful professionals and realise their dreams, unlocking their potential to uplift themselves and their communities while contributing towards India’s future socio-economic development.

Students with a household income of less than INR 15 lakhs per year, who are enrolled in the first year of their undergraduate studies pursuing any subject/stream can apply. The programme also encourages applications from female and specially-abled students.

Selected scholars will receive a scholarship of up to INR 2 lakhs over the duration of their degree programme.  In addition to the scholarship grant, the Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships will provide scholars with an opportunity to be part of a vibrant alumni network and an enabling support system that will create a long-term impact on their lives and career trajectories.

Reliance Foundation Postgraduate Scholarships

The Reliance Foundation Postgraduate Scholarships aim to enable and propel India’s future leaders. Through this scholarship, Reliance Foundation will identify and support 100 of India's brightest postgraduate students pursuing select future-ready courses in Engineering, Technology, Energy and Life Sciences on the basis of merit through a competitive selection process.

The Reliance Foundation Postgraduate Scholarships will support students with a generous grant and a holistic development programme, including expert interactions, industry exposure and volunteering opportunities, fostering a cohort of innovative thinkers dedicated to social good each year.
