Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram (IISER TVM) invites applications for selection at the Assistant Professor (Grade 1) level on 'tenure-track' from Indian nationals belonging to OBC-NCL, SC, ST and PwD categories with outstanding academic credentials, ability to establish a vibrant research programme and passion for teaching. Appointments will be made in the Schools of Biology, Chemistry, Data Science, Earth, Environmental and Sustainability Sciences, Mathematics and Physics. Applications are also invited for selection at the Assistant Professor (Grade II) level on contract from Indian nationals belonging to OBC-NCL, SC, ST and PwD categories with outstanding academic credentials in the School of Data Science. Environmental Science

Geology — with a preference for Sedimentology and Stratigraphy,
Metamorphic Geology, Geochronology, and Geophysics

Designation and Pay Details

Assistant Professor (Grade I) Level 12 Cell 1, minimum pay INR 1,01,500 + HRA + transport allowance + pension benefits under New Pension Scheme (NPS) of Govt. of India. (Gross salary will be approximately Rs. 1,60,803/- per month excluding HRA)	Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout. Three years of post-PhD Industrial/Research/Teaching experience. Age preferably below 35 years.
Assistant Professor Grade II Level 10 Cell 8, minimum pay INR 70,900 + HRA + transport allowance (Gross salary will be approximately Rs. 1,13,985/- per month excluding HRA)	Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout. Age preferably below 30 years.
