SSC Junior Engineer Recruitment: 1340 Posts are Open

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the notification for Junior Engineer (JE) Recruitment 2025 to fill following posts in various Central Government departments.

Details of the Recruitment 

No. of Posts: 1340 (tentative)

  • Junior Engineer (Civil)
  • Junior Engineer (Mechanical)
  • Junior Engineer (Electrical)
  • Junior Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical)

Eligibility:  Candidates must have a Diploma or Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Automobile or related Engineering disciplines from a recognized institute/university. For some departments like BRO and MES, two years of relevant work experience is also mandatory in addition to the diploma.

Age Limit: Up to 30 years for most posts, Up to 32 years for CPWD & CWC posts
(Age relaxation applicable as per government rules for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/ESM, etc.)

Salary: Rs 35,400- Rs.1,12,400.

Selection Procedure:

  • Paper-I (CBT) - General Intelligence, General Awareness, General Engineering
  • Paper-II (CBT)- Specific Engineering Subject
  • Document Verification
  • Physical Standards (for BRO posts)

Application fee: Rs.100 (Exempted for SC/ST/PwBD/Female/ESM).

Last Date Details:

  • Online Application Submission: Open till 21.07.2025 (up to 11:00 PM)
  • Last Date for Fee Payment: 22.07.2025.
  • Application Correction Window: 01.08.2025 to 02.08.2025
  • Paper-I Exam Dates: Tentatively 27-31 October 2025.
  • Paper-II Exam: Jan-Feb 2026.
