Dream of becoming a published author?- NBT gives you the chance to shine and get featured in 'Patr Ganga ke Naam: A Collective Tribute'.
- Open to all age groups
- A letter addressed to River Ganga
- Write in any Indian language
- Up to 500 words
- Max 2 entries per person
- Four winners every month
Key highlights of the initiative include:
- Ganga Pustak Parikrama: Mobile book buses featuring curated collections on the Ganga’s civilization, ecology, and culture. Books by NBT, private publishers, and thematic titles will be showcased and made accessible to local communities.
- School Awareness Programme: Activities such as quizzes, storytelling, caricature, and poster making will be conducted across schools in each district.
- Chaupal Ganga Kinare: Public events at key locations featuring street plays (nukkad nataks), storytelling sessions, an introduction to the Ganga’s conservation journey, and a community pledge for river protection.
- Ganga Se Ganga Tak: A content creation journey through selected districts to document local traditions, conservation efforts, and community stories related to the Ganga.
Digital Campaigns:
- Selfie with Ganga : a national photography contest
- Ganga Ambassador Programme: inviting poems and letters to the river
About Ganga Ambassador Programme:
The Ganga Ambassador Program is an initiative to invite citizens of all ages to express their emotional and cultural connection with river Ganga through letters, poems, and short stories. Outstanding submissions will be included in an end-of-year publication titled "Patr Ganga Ke Naam : A Collective Tribute"
