St. Aloysius Best Research Paper Award aims  to encourage research on how literature  imagine  future on sustainable and equitable lines. This award brings into view   themes such as "Sustainable Development Goals in Literary Imagination" and "Aesthetics and Politics of Sustainability," through which scholars are invited to explore ways in which literature serves as a vibrant site from where  to imagine sustainable futures. In light of Wendell Berry's claim that "the world lives in an eternal creative act," this call for research places the potential of literary narratives to develop new insights and engender transformative ways of thinking. Themes such as "Inclusionary Politics in Literary Imaginaries" or "Literary Gerontology" are exemplary of the rich terrain of inquiry, demonstrating well how literature turns out to be a vital site for reimagining social possibilities and contributing to the scholarly dialogue on building a more just and sustainable world.
