Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Scheme 2025

The Maharashtra Government, through its higher education departments, offers the Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Scheme to support economically disadvantaged students pursuing post-matric education. This initiative provides benefits such as tuition fee waivers and scholarships to meritorious students.

Details About the Scheme 

Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulk Shishyavrutti Yojna

  • Applicable to professional and non-professional courses in recognized government or government-aided institutions.
  • Eligibility: Family income up to ₹8 lakh, admission under General or SEBC category, and no other scholarship availed.
  • Benefits: 100% tuition fee for annual income ≤ ₹2.5 lakh (professional courses). 50% tuition fee for income between ₹2.5-₹8 lakh (professional courses).
  • 100% tuition fee for non-professional courses.

Merit Scholarship for VJNT & SBC

  • Category For Classes 11 and 12 students from Vimukta Jatis, Nomadic Tribes, or Special Backward Classes.
  • Eligibility: Minimum 75% marks in Class 10 and no academic gap. Benefits: ₹300 per month for 10 months.

Shikshan Shulk Shishyavrutti Yojna (EBC)

  • Supports students in professional and technical courses admitted via the CAP system.
  • Eligibility: Family income ≤ ₹8 lakh and minimum 50% attendance in the previous semester.
  • Benefits: 100% tuition fee for females and partial coverage for males. Required Documents Domicile certificate Income certificate Mark sheets and CAP-related documents Attendance certificate Family declaration for the two-children limit

  • Register on the MahaDBT portal.
  • Complete the profile and submit the application with relevant documents.
