Calcutta Research Group (CRG) is pleased to announce the Tenth Annual Research and Orientation Workshop— Cities, Migrants and Insecurities. The Workshop, to be held in Kolkata, India (20-22 November 2025) will be an intensive experience of online and residential segments designed to enable scholars and activists working on the themes of cities, migration and security studies, as well as practitioners in humanitarian and solidarity work, to engage in sustained, interdisciplinary collaboration under the close mentorship of research faculty drawn from universities and institutions across the globe.

The Workshop is designed around the following sub-themes:

• Gender and urban insecurities
• Climate, epidemics and the city
• Migrants, insecurities and sanctuary cities
