Eligibility: General Duty (GD): Candidates must hold a graduate degree from a recognized university with Physics and Mathematics as subjects up to class XII or diploma level. Final year students are also eligible but must submit proof of graduation by 31 Oct 2026.
Technical (Engineering/Electrical/Electronics): Candidates must possess an engineering degree in relevant disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, etc.) from a recognized university. Physics and Mathematics must be subjects at the diploma or class XII level.
Candidates must be Indian citizens and meet the medical and physical standards prescribed by the Indian Coast Guard.

The selection process involves the following stages:
Stage I: Coast Guard Common Admission Test (CGCAT) - Computer-based test.
Stage II: Preliminary Selection Board (PSB) - Cognitive Battery Test & Picture Perception and Discussion Test.
Stage III: Final Selection Board (FSB) - Psychological Tests, Group Tasks, and Interview.
Stage IV: Medical Examination at designated military hospitals.
Stage V: Final induction based on the All India Merit List.
