Free Capacity Building Programme for Faculty Members in Social Science

  • The participants would be provided free registration, AC III/AC Chair Car/RTC Bus Fare with Lodging and Boarding facilities as per ICSSR, New Delhi norms and University rules

WHO CAN APPLY: The faculty members of following disciplines are eligible to apply: (1) Psychology; (2) Sociology and Social Work; (3) Anthropology: (4) Political Science; (5) Public Administration; (6) Economics; (7) Business Economics; (8) History; (9) Ancient Indian History Culture & Archaeology; (I0) Geography; (11) Population Studies; (12) Education; (13) Commerce; (14) Management; (15) Law & International Law; and (16) National Security & strategic Studies, etc.

CATCHMENT AREA: The Workshop aims at enhance the academic and research capacity of the young faculty members of Higher Education Institutions of Goa State, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Tamil Nadu in specific and any backward regions in the country in general.

OBJECTIVES: The Workshop aims to enhance the research capacity of the faculty members in the Social Sciences and allied disciplines, Attempts would be made to enhance their capacity to conduct quality research; to publish their completed research in the form of quality research papers/articles, monographs and books; to select quality research journals for their research publications; to prepare and submit socially relevant research projects; to develop skills for adopting appropriate research designs and data analysis; to select and formulate socially relevant research problems and rational hypothesis; and to select and / or construct appropriate data collection tools etc.

The application will be scrutinized on the basis of academic qualifications, work experience, 200-words write up sent by the applicants and as per ICSSR norms. The applicants selected/shortlisted for the Workshop will be informed through e-mail on 20th August 2025

Note: 

NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS:  Total 30 Participants will be selected. 10 seats are reserved for outstation and 20 seats from Goa state 

  • Young candidates who are presently pursuing research and have less exposure to Research Methodology will be given preference. 
  • Selected participants should compulsorily carry laptops

TRAVEL FOOD AND ACCOMMODATION OF PARTICIPANTS: Outstation Participants will be reimbursed to and fro travel fares of 3 tier AC/AC Chair Car/ RTC Volvo Bus from point to point subject to the production of original tickets. 

  • Accommodation to outstation participants will be provided on a twin sharing basis. 
  • Working Lunch/tea, refreshments will be provided to all the participants free of cost.
