This Faculty Development Programme (FDP) is designed to provide educators and researchers with an in-depth understanding of the rapidly evolving fields of Generative Artificial Intelligence (Al) and Natural Language Processing (NLP). The FDP aim to equip the participants with the knowledge of basic concepts and advanced applications, further to integrate these technologies into teaching, research, and innovation. Through expert lectures, hands-on sessions, and real-world case studies, participants will gain insights into cutting-edge tools of Generative Al models.

Course Learning Objectives

By  the  end  of  the  FDP,  participants  will  be able to:

• Understand  the core principles behind generative Al models like GPT,  LLaMA, and BERT.
• Implement basic NLP tasks such  as text classification,  entity  recognition,  and language generation.
• Utilize pre-trained language models for real- world applications and academic research.
• Design and deploy simple Al-powered NLP systems.
• Integrate Al and NLP topics effectively into course curricula and research projects.
• The core object of LLMs is to understand and generate human like text.
